The Blobfish

As part of our PBL, 4/5 Gwiyala have found a native animal that not many know about… The Blob fish. It is found off the coast of Australia and Tasmania. The Blob fish was recently named The World’s Ugliest Animal, and it’s not too hard to see why. But sadly this “beautiful” animal is endangered due to overfishing because it lives in the same area as crabs and lobsters. As the blob fish is very lazy and would rather stay in one spot, they are often caught in nets meant for those crabs and other crustaceans. I hope you have learnt a little about one of our native animals.
