On Wednesday 24th July, some Year 6 students went on an excursion to the University of Wollongong.
It was very really interesting.The different faculties that were visited included Engineering, Education, Medicine and the Arts to name a few. The amazing race around the university was amazing! University looks like a great place to go and many Year 6 students are already thinking about their future.
Día de Muertos is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. On Thursday, 6 Sydney demonstrated some understanding of this holiday by decorating skull pictures.
We were working on addition by using playing cards in different activities. We had to use playing cards and white boards for the activity and we all had fun.
On Monday 5th August, 6 Sydney had an open day for parents because it was Education Week. We had to make metre high block towers and make quadrilateral shapes out of one metre long ropes. We also had to estimate a metre of newspaper and decide what one metre of blocks would look like.
Last term Mrs Rudd came to visit us and brought with her, her beautiful baby boy. He vomitted on our carpet. We had photos taken with them and it was great to catch up.
